Ten Injuries and One Fatality Result from not Wearing Seat Belts in Kansas Auto Accident

One person was killed and ten others suffered serious injuries in tragic auto accident over Memorial Day weekend, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. The auto injury accident occurred late Sunday night on Interstate 70 about 13 miles northeast of Ellsworth, Kansas.

Twelve people were in the car when it lost control and the rolled into the center median. Kansas Highway Patrol officials claim that not one of the victims were wearling seat belts and were thrown from the vehicle as a result.

A 17 year-old passenger died in the accident and ten others were hospitalized at three different loctions from Salina to Ellsworth to Wichita.
