Texting and Driving Causes Rear-End Collision in Wichita, Kansas

A 47 year-old man driving an SUV crashed into the back of a police cruiser in Wichita, Kansas last week. The rear-end collision happened on April 21, 2011 in Wichita, Kansas.  According to eye witness reports, the auto accident happened because the SUV driver was texting while driving and was unable to avoid the collision.  The crash sent the police car nearly 100 feet down the road, just barely missing the officer, who was pulled over assisting another motorist with a flat tire.  No one was injured in the accident and the driver was cited for texting and driving.
