Three Injured in Scaffolding Accident in Kansas City

Three people were hurt at a construction site on October 13, 2011 on Rockhill Road when scaffolding collapsed onto a small roof.  Firefighters said the scaffolding was placed on a porch and it gave way.

One person suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital and two others suffered minor injuries and were treated and released at the scene.

Scaffoldings are temporary structures that are built to help workers reach surfaces that they cannot reach. They are more efficient than ladders, and provide a platform for the worker to stand on.
