Three Killed in Kansas City Car Crash Caused by Tire Blow-Out

Tragedy unfolded on a Kansas City highway when a tire blowout caused a single vehicle crash, killing three people. The fatal car accident happened on Saturday May 14, 2011 in the southbound lanes of Interstate-29 highway in Kansas City, Missouri.

According to Kansas City Police the auto injury accident happened around 1:10 p.m. when a rear tire on a Chevrolet Suburban blew out causing the vehicle to lose control and crash on the highway. The victims were on their way home from a 2-day baseball tournament.

The victims have been identified as 40 year-old Lanall Fisher and two 13 year-old teens who were playing in a baseball tournament that day. Fisher and one of the teen boys was pronouced dead at the scene of the accident, while the second 13-year-old passed away from the severity of his injuries at the hospital.

Two other people suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
