Three People Hospitalized with Injury After Ride Malfunction at Camden Park

Three riders were hospitalized after ride malfunction at Camden Park in Huntington, West Virinia on July 23, 2011. The ride accident happened with "The Spider" when one of the ride's legs broke and hit the ground, prompting the closing of the park for investigation. Reports indicate no one was riding the leg of the ride that malfunctioned at the time of the accident.

The ride has small compartments in which the riders are seated in at the end of the spider's legs. The legs then spin around at high speeds.

The park was shut down immediately following the carnival ride accident.
