Three Seriously Injured in Kansas City Crash Caused by Motorist Running Red Light

Three people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Kansas City, Missouri over the weekend.  The auto injury accident happened on Saturday April 23, 2011 when a van ran a red light and hit a SUV at Truman Road and Topping Avenue.  One of the passengers of the sports utility vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  At least two other people suffered serious injuries and were also hospitalized for treatment.

Kansas City Police are investigating the crash to determine if the driver of the van was driving under the influence of alcohol.
