Toddler Loses Part of Pinky in Amusement Park Fun House Accident

A three year-old boy was injured in an amusement park fun hosue and lost part of his pinky finger in the process. The amusement park accident happened at the Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair Saturday night on July 23, 2011.

According to Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair officials, the 3-year-old child lost part of his pinky finger while inside the "Fun Zone" attraction, which is like an obstacle course. The course is described as being "balance oriented". It is unknown if the child was accompanied by an adult, although it is not required.

Early investigations have determined that there was no malfunction with any of the park's equipment. Right now it is being ruled an accident.
