Train-Truck Collision Kills Silver Lake Man

A Silver Lake man was killed on Wednesday when the dump truck he was driving was hit by a train at a crossing close to the Bettis Asphalt Plant in Topeka, Kansas. The plant is located on N.W. Waterworks Road near MacVicar Road and I-70. Police say the man was ejected from the truck and suffered serious injury. He later died at a Topeka hospital.
