Truck Driver Chokes While Driving, Saved when Semi-Truck Crashes

In an ironic twist, a truck driver in Pennsylvania may owe his life to a trucking accident.  On March 31, 2011, the driver, identified as Richard Paylor, was driving a semi-truck and snacking on an apple when he began to choke.  According to the driver, the blacked out-- and that's when he lost control of the big rig.

The semi-truck swerved out of control and crashed into a concrete barrier.  The crash is believed to have dislodged the apple from the driver's throat, in effect, saving the truck driver's life.  He suffered no other known injuries in the trucking accident.
