Two Injuried in Gas Pump Collision Explosion in Kansas City

A woman involved in an argument with the driver of another vehicle lost control of her car and crashed into a gas pump at a gas station causing an explosion that sent two women to the hospital with serious injury on Monday September 13, 2010.

The situation happened at Independence Avenue and Park street at an independent oil company gas station in Kansas City, Missouri.  There were two women at the pump when the collision and explosion occured.  Both women suffered servere injury burns and were taken to a local hospital.  A 3 month-old baby was also in one of the cars at the gas pumps but was unharmed in the explosion.

The woman who was driving the vehicle that caused the explosion was not injured and police say she will be charged with assault and hit and run.
