Two Kansas City Children Suffer Injuries in School Bus Accident

Two children were injured in a school bus accident this morning in Kansas City, Missouri.  The bus accident happened at the intersection of Bales and Indiana.  The bus was transporting kids to Warford Elementary School when it slid on some ice on the road and struck a utility pole. 

The bus was carrying fifteen students at the time of the accident.  Two of the children suffered minor injuries in the crash.  One of them was taken to Children's Mercy Hospital while the other was treated on site and went home with their parents.  The rest of the students were picked up by another bus and taken to school.

Rescue crews had a little trouble with the ice as well, as a fire truck responding to the accident slid and crashed into the bus when it arrived on site.
