BRP US Inc. in accordance with the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission have issued a recall on over 1,000 Ski-Doo snowmobiles sold between March 2004 and March 2010. The dangerous product recall has been issued because a defect in the engine that causes an electrostatic build up and if left idling for too long can cause the snowmobile to explode and cause serious injury or death to consumers and riders.
There are a few Ski-Doo Snowmobiles affected by the recall: the 2005 Expedition TUV 600 H.O. SDI, the 2007 Skandic SWT V-800, 2008 Skandic SUV 600 HO SDI, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Skandic SWT V-800.
