Utility Pole Saves 4 year-old Kansas City Boy From Serious Injury after Parked Car Accident

A Kansas City boy is alive today, thanks to, of all things, a utility pole.  The 4 year-old boy managed to ellude serious injury after falling out of a parked car that had begun to roll.  According to reports from the child accident scene, the boy and his 6 year-old sister were playing in the family car in front of their Kansas City, Missouri home when the car was accidentally knocked into gear and the vehicle began to roll.

The boy tried to jump out of the car to safety but the car began to roll over onto him, nearly crushing his head, before it came to a stop, resting against a utility pole.  Both the boy and his sister are expected to be okay.  The mother, who allegedly was inside on Facebook at the time of the accident, is being investigated for child endangerment.
