Worker Seriously Injured in Fall at Kansas City Construction Site

A Kansas City construction worker was hospitalized after suffering a serious injury in a 30 ft. fall while working at the site of the new performing arts center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.  The accident happened on Saturday October 23, 2010 around 8:45 in the morning.  According to those close to the scene, the man was working in a theater within the building when he fell into a hole.

The man was rescued and stabalized by paramedics and fire fighters and taken to a local hospital.  He was said to be conscious and alert after the fall.

This is the second accident at the performing arts construction site this year.  OSHA is investigating the work related accident.
