K-32 Accident In Leavenworth County Leaves Three Dead

A three-car accident leaves three people dead in an accident Sunday in Leavenworth County, Kansas.  According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), a vehicle driven by Mathew Nuzik was attempting to pass another car, when his vehicle hit another car head-on.  Nuzik and the passengers in the other vehicle, Daniel Henry and Stephanie Conn were all killed in the accident.  The KHP reported that the passengers in at least one of the vehicles were wearing their seat belts, but the tremendous force of the impact was too much to offer any protection.

The vehicle that was being passed was also involved in the accident, but no injuries were reported.

A head-on collision is one of the worst types of wrecks we see. As reported by the KHP in this particular accident, the violence associated with the impact of two vehicles traveling in opposite directions, hitting head-on is so significant, there are frequently fatalities in these types of crashes.

As experienced Kansas and Missouri Wrongful Death Attorneys, we encourage everyone to look carefully before passing another vehicle when traveling the many two-lane highways in our Kansas and Missouri metro area.  We would also like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victims of this tragic accident.
