Kansas City Accident Injury Attorneys

What is med pay coverage?

If you live in Missouri, and if you have opted for it, you may have additional insurance known as med pay coverage.  It will cover medical bills and expenses incurred as a result of the accident up to a certain amount.  Because you pay an additional monthly premium for this coverage, it does not have to be paid back to the insurance company upon recovery from a third party. In the event of an injury collision, this can be beneficial, both from a medical treatment standpoint and in terms of getting fairly compensated for your injuries. However, unlike liability insurance or uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage, this insurance can be expensive compared to the benefits it provides. Whether it is wise for you is often a cost benefit analysis that depends upon your personal situation, including such factors as whether or not you have health insurance. Call us if you have any questions concerning this issue, at no cost and with no obligation.
