28 Arrests Following Weekend DUI Checkpoint in Kansas City
Posted on Apr 23, 2010A DUI checkpoint near the Charles B. Wheeler Municipal Airport resulted in 28 arrests over the weekend. The checkpoint, which was set up in the northbound lanes of Missouri Highway 169 and Lou Holland Drive around 11:00 p.m., stopped 1,037 vehicles.
In addition to the drunk driving arrests, tickets were issued for four cases of child endangerment, two for revoked or suspended licenses, three for hazardous moving violations, one for a seat belt violation and three for minors in possession of alcohol.
This week announcements were made that DUI checkpoints would be coming up in the following weeks in Jackson County on the Missouri side and Wyandotte County in Kansas.
