Infant Killed in Trash Truck Collision on Road with No Traffic Signs in Western Kansas

Two adults and an infant were killed in a collision with a trash truck that happened in Oxford, KS. around 11:30 a.m. on April 13, 2012. According to authorities from the Sumner County Sheriff's Department, the collision happened on a road where there are no stop signs or yield signs. The infant, reported to be around 2 months old was killed instantly in the fatal crash. The baby's parents were hospitalized with critical to life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck, a 73 year-old man was not hurt in the crash that happened near Wichita, Kansas.  The Kansas Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.
