Tractor-Trailer Flips On Accident at I-70 and I-435

A trucker negotiating the ramp from westbound I-70 to southbound I-435 lost control of his vehicle causing the semi to flip on its side in an accident on Monday morning around 10:15. 

Fire crews were called to the scene because, in addition to spilling its load, the accident caused the semi to leak fuel onto the highway.  According to fire department spokesperson, Joe Vitale, the driver was not injured and was already out of his vehicle when emergency crews arrived on the scene. 

The fire department was required to call in the hazardous crews unit to deal with what was described as a considerable fuel spill.  Crews were expected to clear the accident scene by 11:45 a.m.  Authorities have not released the cause of the accident at this time.
