When you or a loved one are injured or killed by the negligence of another, giant corporations and insurance companies will stop at nothing to minimize your injuries and deny or under-pay your claims.  That is why Brent Welder is passionate about representing injured victims and the families of deceased loved ones.
Brent has collected millions of dollars annually for his injured clients, having consistently litigated and settled multi-million-dollar cases against America’s top corporate defense firms.  Brent is dedicated to securing every penny for innocent victims after people and corporations act in ways that make our communities less safe and put us all at risk.

Brent is active in his community and works hard to achieve fairness and justice in society.  He recently ran for U.S. Congress in the Kansas City area, gaining national prominence as a fighter for working families and the underserved.  Prior to law school, Brent held leadership positions in political, governmental, and labor organizations at our nation’s highest levels.

Brent has focused his law practice on personal injury, wrongful death, worker’s compensation, traffic collisions, slip and fall, labor and employment law, FELA, property damage, racing injuries, firefighter injuries, and more.  He handles all aspects of your case, from the first moment you speak with him all the way through any necessary trial and appeal.

Brent is a member of the state bar in Missouri and Illinois, and has been accepted at the bar in states including Kansas, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, and Texas.  He is also a member of the bar of various federal courts, and has helped injured clients throughout the United States.  He has a law degree from Saint Louis University with concentrations in civil and criminal litigation, and a certificate in labor and employment law.  In law school, Brent was the campaign of his law school trial team in the American Bar Association Trial Advocacy Competition.  Brent has been awarded for excellence in trial advocacy, civil litigation, and advanced legal research.  Brent also has a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University where he was co-captain of the college’s nationally-recognized mock trial team and was awarded “Best Attorney” in the Midwest United States region.

Brent has accepted invitations to share his expertise as a guest speaker at universities and organizations throughout the United States, including Harvard Law School, University of Pennsylvania Law School, Georgetown University, University of Kansas, Iowa State University, Northern Michigan University, and others.

Brent formerly worked as national designated legal counsel for the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way labor union, and is the former National Field Director for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters labor union.

Brent’s wife, Kristie, is also an attorney.  They love spending time with their three children and staying involved in the community.  Brent is an avid sports fan, and coaches his daughter’s soccer team.  He also loves taking his family to baseball, football, and college basketball games.  If you or a loved one has been injured or killed by the negligence of another, there is no time to waste.  Brent is looking forward to speaking with you during your free consultation.
