The community in St. Joseph, Missouri is grieving today, after a 16 year-high school student was killed in a tragic bus accident on Monday morning. At Roswold Law Group, our experienced Kansas City Child Injury Lawyers have seen far more school bus accident injuries and fatalities this year than we would ever wish to see. It is important for all motorists to be extra aware of child pedestrians between 7 and 8 a.m. and 3 and 4 p.m. on weekdays when kids are walking to and from school.
We'd like to urgently remind all Kansas and Missouri motorists to practice safe and attentive driving techniques at all times no matter where you are driving. Pedestrians are far more vulnerable to severe injury and death if they are hit by a car. That chance for death goes up even more when something as big as a bus is involved.
Our deepest sympathies go out to the friends and family of the 16 year-old victim in this accident.
