Kansas City Mazda Drivers: Power Steering Problem Forces Re-Call on 2007-09 Mazda3 and Mazda5

Comments (0)
What is one of the most under-appreciated functions of a car?  The steering wheel?  Maybe.  After all, there are so many things that can go wrong with a car: breaks, tires, engine, muffler.  The list goes on but as motorists, how often do you worry about your steering wheel going out?  It is a problem and it's one that has become an issue for the Mazda Motor Corp.

This week, Mazda issued a recall on 215,000 vehicles focusing specifically on the 2007-2009 Mazda3 and Mazda5 series of cars built between April 2007 and November 2008.  The re-call was issued because of a problem with the power steering system that can cause the steering to stop performing, which can lead to a crash causing serious injury or in a worst case scenario, death.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received 33 complaints since June on the issue, reporting at least three injury accidents.

As Kansas and Missouri Defective Products and Product Liability Attorneys, we urge you to take this and all product re-calls very seriously.  In this case, a steering problem in an automobile can obviously cause some serious and catastrophic damage if something does go wrong.  It's always better to be safe than sorry.  Companies don't issue re-calls to annoy their customers.  They are issued because the product you are using could cause serious injury if they are not responded to.

If you or someone you love has suffered a serious injury because of a defective product in Kansas or Missouri, you may be entitled to compensation for your losses, including medical bills.  Contact the experienced Kansas City Personal Injury Attorneys of Roswold Law Group.  With over 15 years of experience in Defective Products and Product Liability cases, we can help you.  Call today for a free consultation.
