You know you've done it, too.  It's late, there's no one else on the road and all you want to do is get home.  So you hit the gas, hoping to get to your destination a little bit quicker.  Maybe you make it.  Maybe you don't.  Maybe you get a ticket and maybe the worst happens.  In Kansas City, Kansas on Saturday night disaster struck when an 18 year-old man was killed in a single car accident near 24th and Parallel Parkway.  Police say the driver was speeding when he lost control and crashed.  The young victim died at the scene.

The Kansas City Auto Accident and Injury Attorneys would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the victim of the tragic accident.  We hope this tragedy serves as a lesson to all Kansas City motorists.  Speeding is very dangerous and at the end of the day, is against the law.  Nothing good can happen when you choose to break traffic laws.  These laws exist to keep you and other motorists safe.  Our hope is future drivers use safe and attentive driving practices to keep the roads safe for future generations.

Teenage drivers in Kansas City are far more prone to serious injury in case of a car accident because of a lack of experience.  The fact that this accident happened late at night also plays a part.  While there is no official information to link to this incident, drowsy driving or even alcohol and illegal drugs often play a role in late night fatal car crashes.
