Woman Killed in Train Collision

A woman was killed Friday morning between 3:30 and 4:00, when her car struck a moving train near Jamesport, Missouri.  The woman, 45-year-old Teresa Wray of Jamesport, was driving to work in Chillicothe when the crash occurred. 

The pickup truck she was driving hit a moving Union Pacific train along Highway F east of Jamesport.  The train with 93 cars was headed from Des Moines, Iowa to Kansas City, Kansas.  The train did not stop, because the crew was unaware that an accident had happened.  Authorities stopped the train in Lawson, Missouri once they were notified of the accident. 

A passerby on Highway F noticed the wreck and called police who, in turn, notified Union Pacific.
