Overland Park Woman Seriously Injured in Miami County Car Accident

Comments (0)
An Overland Park, KS. woman is in the hospital after being involved in a single vehicle car accident yesterday in Miami County.  The accident happened on Monday afternoon around 4:00 p.m. when the woman's car lost control and drove off an embankment at 247th street.

Police have confirmed the victim is the Shawnee Mission West teacher who yesterday became the focus of an investigation alleging she is engaged in an improper relationship with a student.

Accidents like this happen far too often and sad reality is they can be easily avoided by simply following the rules of the road is a must no matter if you are driving in the city or out on a seemingly empty highway.  While not all accidents are avoidable, you can prevent serious injury and even death by simply buckling up.

Remember wearing a seat belt is the law in Kansas and Missouri but they can only protect you so much in an accident caused by distracted driving.  So put your cell phones away and keep your eyes on the road.

The experienced Kansas City Auto Injury Attorneys of Roswold Law Group certainly wish the victim of this accident a speedy recovery from her injuries.
