There is a new federal regulation, which, as part of the 2008 Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, will allow manufacturers to be able to contact customers directly if there is a recall on the purchased product.  Since a lot of people don't pay much attention to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission and because of this, too many recalls are going un-noticed and are often ignored.  About 20% of nearly 2,000 parents polled said they were aware of a recall on something they had purchased for their child.

 

By filling these cards out will ensure you will be among the first to know if a product purchased for your child has suddenly become dangerous, thus be able to protect your child that much more.  The new regulations offer a sense of security to parents and save them the trouble of scanning the internet for recalls.
