Kansas City, MO was the scene of an accident around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.  The accident occurred at 67th Street and South Benton Avenue.  The driver of the car, 37-year-old Stephen Johnson and passengers 24 year-old DeJuan Williams and 36-year-old Denise White were prounounced dead at the scene of the accident.  Two other victims were critically injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment.

The car Johnson was driving went airborne and crashed into a tree, uprooting the tree.  Police said the speed was likely a factor in the wreck.  It took rescue personnel 30 minutes to extract the victims from the vehicle.  Police are continuing their investigation of this accident.
